[Backyard Buddies]

Made a yummy Gumbo and served it over rice. Sides were salad and sourdough bread. Yum!

Lotsa leftoevers went into the freezer, too.

I like that show, although I didn't see it last night. We have a CSA member who loves the show and says they feel like Chopped contestants with their weekly box. i.e.....They get a box of surprise food and have to come up with ways to cook it. LOL They've really enjoyed themselves.

I'm a 'commercial hopper' too - hop up and do something for 2 minutes when they come on.

Last night was 15 Bean Soup with leftover pork roast bits and home-made baguettes stuffed with turkey, ham, salami, cheese and roasted red peppers.

Chicken and Dumplings tonight. My own chicken is going in the pot in just a little bit to cook long and slow on a simmer for the day. This afternoon late will make the dumplings....then we will see if I can eat it!!

I only found this thread a little while ago but it is going to give me great ideas for dinner. Or make me feel guilty.

Last nights dinner was Quiche made with pepper bacon, 3 different cheeses, my own eggs, spinich, mushrooms and green onions and some spices

It was delicious!

Last nite was easy...corndog muffins...quick and had enough leftovers for the kiddos to take them for lunch tomorrow

Tonight we had whole wheat buttermilk pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage easy and good

This thread always makes me hungry.
