Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

On the one hand, it sure makes them easy to cook for...........on the other hand, different types of food are good, too

Yep. My bunch likes the "staple" stuff with all of the smothering sauces/gravy. I cooked some really nice recipes utilizing fresh herbs and spices and the looks I received from the two kids were hilarious. -first question was, "what are all of the gross thingies in this"? Hilarious!

I've been pretty proud of the scratch cooking, trying to be healthier (okay, at least it's better than fast food lol), the time I take to prepare meals for my family. Then my honey comes home from his dad's on New Year's Day and tells me about these great meatballs his brother made. Secret ingredient? Onion soup mix.

I've tried to hard to get processed stuff like that out of the house--soup mixes, cream of X soup, gravy mix, things like that. Then, he likes that better. Makes me wonder what I'm working so hard for........

We're about to step out for some good (probably) processed, unhealthy, very fattening Italian!!!

I'll resume the healthy (salad-laden, juiced fruit and veggies, whole food) diet tomorrow....

Tonight was 'half priced pasta'. I had angel hair marinara with a side of meat balls - enough left to take home for 2 maybe 3 lunches. The same thing with the penne vodka that the Princess had. One meal becomes 3 or 4 - can't beat that.
