Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

Oh, Rachel! Honey's achievement is even more remarkable when you think about all your family has been through! That took focus and determination. So congratulations to him and to all of you! I'll have an extra steak and margarita tonight to celebrate!

Thanks, I'm pretty proud of him!

Today is our 22 wedding anniversary! We're keeping things low-key here at home and just having a nice pork roast with lots of carrots and onions, and I baked some potatoes today.

Decided I'd rather put the money toward a larger incubator or a chicken plucker than dinner out

You are too practical for your own good young lady.
I am the same way.so pot and kettle and all, but-
You have a lot of reasons to celebrate lattey, so maybe you otter.

There was just too much going on it seemed like. Honey and Big Boy are pheasant hunting this am, so things needed to be readied for that last night. Honey also got called in to work a 4 hour shift yesterday afternoon....it's all good.

Tonight we are having chicken broccoli casserole. I pulled a turkey out to start thawing, so that will be sometime in the next week or so.

Last night turned out to be fish

. My guys limited out on the pheasants so fast, they stopped and went fishing on the way home. Bluegill and a nice bass. So, the chicken's waiting in the fridge. 2 more pheasants today, so plenty to go around tonight, probably with a salad and maybe baked potato. Chicken tomorrow and will get that turkey going in the next few days.

Pheasant was lovely last night!

Had a long afternoon, so we went with cheap chicken for dinner with tots and a salad.

I've got a pack of chicken thighs and a turkey in the fridge to get cooked....plus about 2 pheasants that are cooked. Sometimes the cupboard runneth over!

Rachel, I am envious of your bluegills and pheasant. It's a while since I have had either.

Tonight we will have cucumber salad, mashed potatoes, fried summer squash and breaded/honey mustard chicken breasts. I hate cucumber salad, but the Princess really likes it. What's a guy to do?
