Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

The freezer is where all my good ideas go to die. Short term memory is going, I guess.
It was a nice surprise!

. I put so much stuff in the freezer and forget about it.....

Tonight will be Italian sausage and veggies, with probably mac and cheese.

Jumping in here. I raised a bunch of crossbred/highbred zucchini squash this summer. Monster zuc's with a really hard shell. They crossed with pumpkins, acorn & butternut squash. Also got a few of what I tried to raise. What to do??? They're all in the same pot, along with potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, leftover butternut squash, leftover spaghetti squash chicken breasts, bouillon, seasonings. When it's all cooked tender I'm going to blend it all together. Waiting to see what I've done. It's what's for supper!!! Jim.

Jim, can you say 'ratatouille' ? I'd be tempted to add some stewed tomatoes and mushrooms.

.. you get all kinds of points for being able to spell it.

In any case, It turned out great. Garnished each dish with diced sweet red pepper, chive, & a sprig of parsley. If I live long enough I'm going to make someone a good wife someday. Jim. BTW I am straight.

We wound up having some Italian ground beef with garlic and tomatoes last night, with sautéed bacon/onion/zucchini/crookneck. A fine meal anywhere!

Tonight will be chili dogs. Honey brought home hot dogs from Costco, about the only kind I'll eat. Homemade chili with beans, all the toppings.
