Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

I made two homemade pizzas ..one with thin sliced beef link and white onion and green bell pepper ...the other with sliced kalamatra olives, mushrooms, and thin sliced zucchini. Mostly mozzarella on top, but some cheddar and jack, too...

Good stuff!

That sounds sooooo good. Do you ever cook zucchini on the bbq? I LOVE it. We coat it in olive oil and a little garlic pepper seasoning. I can't wait for the garden to go in!

I just made a batch of potato salad. We will probably have ribs or maybe even just hot dogs to go with it.

French peasant food tonight. Coque au vin (not one of mine!), homemade French baguette and a pear clafouti for dessert.

It's been a week of temps below freezing when we should be around 40 degrees. I LOVE global warming! Brrrr!

Thanks, everyone! I really like the pizzas I make at home ..and it's still a dream to have my own pizzeria someday

Redfeathers.. I love grilled veggies of just about any sort, but squash are one of my favorites

ETA: I got all excited about the "clafouti" and forgot what I came for ...we're having curry and rice and something green with whole wheat naan.

Aneesa - homemade pizzas are THE BEST ... I keep trying to get DH to build me a wood fired brick oven in the backyard ... maybe someday.

A clafouti is like a cobbler, fruit with a cake or pudding like batter poured over and baked. Cherry is the most known, but apples, peaches, plums and pears work too. I like the cake batter best.

All this talk of yummy food . . . (Hey! Where did the drooling smilie go?)

We had B4D tonight, being Wednesday and all. Thanks for joining me, thechickenchick! We had oatmeal and fruit, whole grain toast, and juice.

marinate the summer squash or zuchs in Italian dressing for a little while and then grill them, yum!

my favorite summer thing..

It's looking like a Nachos Al a'Meener (

) type of dinner plans, tonight. I cannot kick the darn migraine I woke up with. I wish it would just rain already ..but the muggy heat and threat of rain is having its way on me noggin' ...blah!

happyhen.. I am going to attempt clafouti this weekend. Any pointers I need to be aware of? Can I cheat and use "good" box stuff ..or should I go from scratch ..the pudding, cake batter and that ?? (I didn't look up a recipe yet, either ..so if you'd like to share yours

..I'd be most grateful)

redhen.. I have tried that marinade before ..and it was good .....but there are some "asian" infusion type dressings that I really, really enjoy... sesame ginger ..and some others. Yum Yum!!
