That sounds very tasty!

Hey y'all. New here. I love food and I love cooking. Love to try new foods and recipes.

Tonight we are having Hamburger Helper Lasagna kicked up with corn, fresh green beans, and fried green tomatoes. Oh and fried summer squash because my guys don't like fried green tomatoes.

Pulled porks on Saturdays menu, pasta tomorrow, this evening was fend for yourself. I roasted garlic and asparagus to have with crackers and a mango ;)

Mm, fried squash, gonna have to make that now. .

last night we ate an area BBQ chain, The husband had a burger... topped with: pulled pork, bacon, sausage, bbq chicken, fried onion, and Swiss cheese.

I could not believe my husband would do that to himself.
My son asked if it was a midlife crisis thing, and I said that it couldn't be- because after eating that midlife would have to be 28 years ago.

This morning my husband woke up and said, "I'm still full"

Keep in mind that everyone will do it differently, but this is how I make mine:

Cut a hole out of # of desired pieces of bread.  My favorite is to use Texas toast.  To cut the hole I just use a champagne glass.  /img/smilies/smile.png  OH!  Save the hole!

I lightly coat the bread and hole (both sides) with butter and place both on a medium to medium high heat frying pan.

In the hole I put more butter (I'm a butter-holic), and crack one egg into the hole.

Once it starts to solidify and sizzle I personally like to break the yolk - my husband threatens me if I do this to his - he likes his yolk 'dippy'.

When I deem it ready, I flip my bread to cook the egg on the other side.  I also flip the hole.

You can sprinkle shredded cheese onto it, or to avoid a cheesey mess on your frying pan, you can just lay a slice of cheese on top.  My DD loves cheese - I forego the cheese.

Don't forget your grilled bread hole - perfect for dipping yolk (or so I'm told).  I like to just eat it.  /img/smilies/smile.png

My directions are a little shoddy - but I hope this helps!

Enjoy!

I know this is old, but thanks. My Mimi used to make these for me as a little girl. Had totally forgotten about them.

Tonight is home made pizza night!

The Pizza skins are rising and deflating on the kitchen counter and will be ready tonight for the fixins!
