Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

I love andouille sausage, can't get the good stuff here though.

I really like it, too. Unfortunately this dish kind of leeched all the goodness out of the sausage. Oh well, it was quick and filled our bellies.

Last night we went to some friends' for a holiday party. The hostess served a lovely ham, dill potato salad, blinis with sour cream and caviar, assorted cheeses and crackers, assorted pickled vegetables, lox and capers, smoked salmon, homemade bread, and homemade macaroons. Delicious.

Quote: WOW, nice menu for the party!

Last night we only had loaded baked potatoes for supper (very large potatoes). My wife and I had gone out for a late lunch (we may have over indulged). My wife is making a white bean chili for supper today, it's a vegetarian recipe, we are debating whether we will be adding chicken or chorizo. It already has some heat in it, so maybe the chicken is a better choice.

I think the best tasting vegetarian white chili has chicken in it too. Chorizo sausage would be OK also, as long as it's Vegetarian. Ham bone split pea soup & corn bread here for tonight.

You're funny! Your split pea and cornbread sounds delicious.

Birthday cake and ice cream! Whoopie!!
Happy birthday to you or whoever's birthday it may be!

I have a pack of ground beef. Was going to make chili, but might ask the fam if they'd mind burgers again. We all like them and they're easy, so why not? I'm just amazed there are chips left from last night.

Split pea and cornbread sounded good to me. The best that I could manage was tomato/basil with grilled cheese.
grilled Cheese and tomato soup is comfort food to me, yummy.

Make them cheeseburgers and I'm in.
