Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

@ronott1 That sounds fabulous!

My sourdough starter is not very active. It is bubbling a little, making the alcohol layer and starting to develop the "sourdough" smell, but it is all very slow. I haven't given up yet though. I am adding fresh water and flour too it, but Is there something I can do to help it along? Some sites say to add Apple Cider vinegar, some say milk and others say a little sugar. Any opinions?

Try using milk and replenish twice a day until the starter is more active.

A table spoon of potato starch or flour helps and add a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar--organic with the mother.

Sugar is not necessary since the flour is converted to sugar.

Once it get fully active again, water and flour will do the trick.

You can often find potato starch or flour in the Bob's red mill section.
