Maybe pork chops tomorrow. I popped my jaw out last night for a few hours and today it is sooo sore and it hurts to hew anything. So lasagna for DH and DGD, maybe me if I can chew it otherwise it's soup/broth.

Monica - I hope you feel better soon! I had a short bout of TMJ as the result of a broken nose. I hated not being able to chew!

We had red beans and rice, grilled Andouille sausage and a NOLA-style French bread.

we're putting the ham bone with some meat still on it BACK into the crock pot to cook overnight with split peas, small white potatoes and baby pearl onions for split pea soup that will be ready by the morning to go into lunch boxes!! Dogs will drool all night smelling it...me too!

yea it is. It's really good too!
Here's the whole recipe, which you can find on the back of the Cheesy Ranch Burger, Hamburger Helper box:

1. Brown ground beef(vegetarian style) in 10-inch skillet(the kind of vegetarian burger crumbles we buy are already ground up)

2. Stir in hot water, milk(we used soy milk) sauce mix(which comes with box) and uncooked pasta. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.

3. Reduced heat; cover and simmer about 14 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender(sauce will thicken as it stands)

4. Remove from heat. Stir mayonnaise into mixture(OPTIONAL!)

That's what it says directly from the box(except it doesn't say OPTIONAL with the mayo, I just added that because I never saw my mom put that in it.

You can add stuff for toppings, too! example: 1 cup(4 oz.) shredded cheese(and if you want to cut down on fat/cholesterol, use low fat Kraft cheese.)

I hope this helps! And if you look up "Vegetarian Recipes", I'm sure you will find all kinds of meatless and healthier foods.

and you can add a little rice on the side or anything really, like broccoli. We used a rice mix from the store. It's called Broccoli and Cheese rice. It's really yummy!

But that's just what we used. Anything really can work to go with the recipe I posted above.
