I have BBQ pork ribs in the crockpot, and set my very first black eyed peas out in water last night...found a recipe on Allrecipes.com to cook them-isn't that sad, I've never made them before! I think I may make some mashed potatoes also..haven't decided yet.
 
We had a combo of stuff.

The girls went out to eat.

My dh and the 2 yr old wanted corndogs and chips with mac salad.

I had leftover ribs stripped from the bone and made into a bbq sandwich and slaw.
 
we split the dogs length wise sprinkled with tony chacharies and blacken them a little, fold them back up and cook the outside. then ad cheese, mustard to the bun and ketchup. so no hot dogs are not lazy. never had them in a steamer tho.
 
That is a really nice rotisserie! Sort of moves hot dogs up in the food class, lol!! Chicken boy..what are tony chacharies ? Some kind of peppers maybe? The rest of the fixins on your dogs sounds soooo goood!!

Some 50 baby chicks that are coming next week and 16 young pullets that I inherited. All of which I am not prepared for. Building brooders, coops, nest boxes, roosts, and runs all at the same time while hustling material. But it is worth all of the effort. Got 10 blue orps, 5 black orps , and 5 blue rocks coming in one of the two shipments. Got chick fever real bad. Know what I mean? And added to that, "The old gray mule ain't what he used to be!"

No matter what you make MissPrissy it will be good....but I admit I'm partial to burrito casserole.

I think we are having Ribs and baked potatoes tonight. I'm going to make a coffee cake for dessert.

I cooked the jambalaya with shrimp and smoked sausage and chicken. Man is it good! I have a tossed salad and hot buttered rolls to go with it.

My husband is working late so it is just me and the kids. he'll get warmed over leftovers when he makes it through the door this evening.
 
I had enough leftover ingredients from the chimichangas I made for the pot luck last night to make some for us tonite-YEA!! I am making chili-beans and mexican rice using the broth from the chicken.
Tomorrow night I'm hopping to go out as I am working tomorrow and don't have anything quick here right now.

Tonight it's chicken/sausage/okra gumbo w/rice and potato salad. Sippie cup of sweet milk.
And yes, the gumbo is seasoned with slap-ya-mama and Tony Chachere's. Then add a smidgen of Louisiana Hot Sauce when served.
