does any one know what i should do? last night i left a chicken out side, it got down to 19 degres and she seemed okay during the day, she stayed outside durinfg the daywith the others
and scratched, and pecked. When I put them up tonight, i noticed her under the heat lamp, but she is breathing heavy.
Last night was spaghettiw/ prego sauce and hamburger. I was still wiped out from our weekend shooting match.
Tonite, no idea as of yet. It's a amjor migrain day so something quick and easy. DGD is having burgers for lunch and DH is having taquitos, so both those are out.
I initially thought Miss Prissy's burritos were in response to the previous poster with the misplaced question. I sure hope that newchickenowners found the right place to post his/her question.
Tonight's dinner will be:
Four Cheese Ravioli (ala Costco) with three sauces:
Marinara, Alfredo, and butter. (Everyone likes something different)
Salad
Steamed Zucchini
French Bread
We are having DH's parents over for dinner tonight, so I put a roast and potatoes in the crock pot, and another smaller roast in the oven. The poor roast in the oven had to come out twice though, so I could put the pizza in for lunch, and then my big desert finale-my first ever cheesecake! It looks like it turned out pretty good too; only thing is it says to chill for 8 hours
that will make it hard to serve tonight....
and I hope my roast from the oven turns out, and isn't too tough, lol! Oh, and I also have fresh carrots cut up into a pot, and ready to start simmering. Usually put butter and brown sugar (I know, I know) on them
the cheesecake needs to be cold, and if it was a really runny recipe then it needs the time to set...you could possibly put it in the freezer for a bit, or if it is still winter there...put it outside...

Amen, to the cornbread. I can't think of a meal that cornbread does not go with. I'm sure there must be but I don't think I would enjoy it. And yes to the hot sauce.
Now about the gizzards and hearts. I even like the livers to go with them. Often I make a stew with livers, gizzards and hearts in a brown flour gravy. Talk about good and a cheap meal at that.
However, I noticed that you must have to pay considerably more per pound for them that what I am accustomed to.
After my stop at Lowes for work related stuff (done after work) - getting home late - finally unloading 100 lbs of rabbit and chicken feed and hauling those all the way to the back shed. Then tending chickens, mending a rabbit cage, walking the dog, planting my tomatos and taking a shower - I said to heck with it,
