Happy Hen I know what you mean about cleaning out the freezer.

We had fried flounder and fried green tomatos for dinner tonight.
We found the flounder in the bottom of the freezer from 2 years ago. Would you believe it was as good as the day it was caught. Vaccum seals are great.

DH cooked and was craving fried green tomatos so he just fried the fish as well.

menageriemama's dinner sounds great and gave me an idea for using the last of the venison in my freezer. Thanks!

Tonight was an old Sicilian recipe. Carmelized onions, black olives and tuna tossed with pasta. Sliced garden tomatoes, basil and fresh mozz for a side and lots of homebaked, crusty ciabatta bread (the family favorite and the one bread I hate to make) to dip in the olive oil. Cherry tart for dessert.

I wrapped an exceptionally small chicken in some foil, with whole Garam Masala and s 'n p, and a little yellow curry ...roasting at 350F. I'll make some Palak Paneer to go along ..and steamed brown Basmati.

Last night, Thai Green Chicken Curry (coconut based) with squash, asparagus, mushrooms, carrots, onions and so on ..over steamed brown Jasmine

We are big rice heads ..and chicken heads...

Its was over 100 degrees again yesterday. I never check to see how much over a 100 it gets. I figure after it hits 100 what the heck. Its HOT.

We had grilled pork chops with BBQ sauce and chilled homemade mac. salad with dinner rolls.

simple but in this heat, good

Hello,
Ran in as we arrived home from our little trip...and tossed some fish sticks in the little toaster oven, baked potatoes in the microwave, stove topped some B-B-Q beans, and mixed up coleslaw from a bag!

Ate quickly, ran to church...and now I'm home checking up on friends....

That sounds very good!

Tonight we are having chicken baked in the oven with a marinade. I have many zucchini's on hand, so I'm going to either fry up some of those or bake in the oven as well. I haven't figured out the side dish yet.

It's a rainy day in Pacific Northwest. I'm enjoying it, it's nice to sit on the porch and drink coffee with a cat on my lap and the dogs at the door making nose paintings on the glass. lol

I had cornmeal rolled porkchops, green beans, potatoes, corn on the cob, buttered rice, and cornbread, with sweet tea.
Ice cream for dessert.... it was kinda lonely... my little girl is at Youth Camp...plenty of room for more....

Grilled chicken breast seasoned with slap ya momma, redbeans with onions, deviled eggs and rolls.
I am so tired. After working most of the day at my real job came home and picked, shelled and put up peas. Tomorrow is more tomatos to deal with.
Is everyone else as tired as I am?

Had Dad's funeral yesterday, DH took us to the fiesta in town last night for dinner and to get my mind away from my saddness. It help a little. Tonight we have a star party to go to, our night sky is beautiful right now. I don't know what we will do for dinner, still talking about it.

Monica
