Hi, my name is Golden, I live in Malawi and i have following this site for quite a while now and now that i have bought laying chickens i thought it would be wiser to register so i could easily interact with fellow chicken farmers.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
No, i am not new to chickens, though it is my first time keeping them on a large scale and business focused.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
320 19 weeks old chickens.

(3) What breeds do you have?
These red popular chickens LOL, mostly kept for egg laying just forgot there names.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Google.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love playing MMO game a lot apart from that I also love researching about things.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I am a first born in a family of 3, live with grandpa and grandma, and my little sibbling, twin, boy and a girl. Only got a cat and 2 american pitbull terriers, very friendly dogs, I work at some group of companies as Lead Software Engineer, 23 yod, and not married obviously cause then i would have moved out from my parents house already hahaha..

Don't know if that's a bit too much info but just didn't want getting questions later on when i could as well just covered it all up lol.

Wow you have a lot of chickens
A very warm welcome to BYC! There’s so many helpful, knowledgeable folks here and I’m sure you’ll find this site a very useful resource. I hope you enjoy it as much as we all do.
Yes i sure do. I bought them all when they where already 17 weeks old, i didn't want to go through the trouble of trying to raise them from small ages as to me that was too risky.

Greetings and welcome to BYC! So glad you joined us. :clap I guess you don't have to worry about chicken math... you obviously have a PhD in it! Best wishes for a successful business enterprise. You said you've been looking at the site, so you already know there's a wealth of info, knowledge and experience shared in the multitude of threads. Browse around and see what interesting stuff you can find. By all means post away when the desire strikes you, especially if you have questions (provide as much detail/info as possible and pictures truly help)... With all the great folks here, generally someone will respond in no time at all. Please make yourself at home!

Oh, if you haven't done so already, PLEASE put at least your general location in your profile. It could be very important if/when you ask for or offer help or advice. You know, climate issues and such. I recommend at least your state as most folks won't be able to figure out where if you put anything more specific (county, town, street, etc) by itself. Old folks like me :old will never remember & look there first. To add it, mouse hover over Account top right and a drop down will appear. Click on Personal Details and scan down. You'll see the spot for Location. Then go to the bottom and save changes. Thanks! Hope you enjoy the site!
