I LOVE snow!!

When was our last big snow?

2000, I think!!

I'm talking about the 2 ft. snow.

I think it was 2000, its time for another stop every thing in its tracks kind of snow, I wouldn't care if it snowed up a giraffe's butt.

Y'all, I HATE snow. Well, I reckon snow is ok but here in NC we don't really get "snow" we get ice. And ice sucks!!! You can't go anywhere and all the bread and milk are sold out as soon as they call for a storm.

The only good thing about an ice storm is getting cozy with your better half next to the warm fire place when the power goes out...because you know the power WILL go out.

Wasn't today beautiful once the clouds cleared up this morning??

We went tonight to my SIL's annual Halloween party. They basically invite everyone they know for BBQ, hayrides and bonfire marshmallow roast.

There were well over 100 people there tonight and it was such a beautiful sunset as we took the hayride out through the pastures. It was a great evening, even with the issues we are dealing with right now with my DH's immediate family and the strained relationships.

Snow is pretty when you get to play in it and then go inside and drink hot cocoa by the fire.

It is a lot less pretty when you are out in it toting water because the spigots in the barn froze, break ice out of waterers, clearing the snow off the chicken door so you can get in to determine if any have survived, hauling 65lb bales of hay through drifts, usually all of this is done in the dark and your socks and gloves are soaked.... in general, snow on a farm is not so much fun.

Am I a spoil sport or what?

WOW I didn't know we had NC girls! I missed this post by about a month now! Glad to know there is a network of NC people. I feel like I'm on an island sometimes!
