These are home bred, these are at 8 weeks old, & the barring is unorganized. From 2021.Still

It's not barring...I'll get better pictures. It's not mottling.
Barring isn't always organized, I've had some funky Barred birds before.

Yeah, buff does tend to obscure barring, especially in pullets. But his neck isn't barred at all, and that's the first place you should see barring.My pullet from 2021 had solid breast feathers, little to no bars there.
