Leave them for 6 weeks so mom & dad can raise them. Then the babies will keep coming back to your ceiling.

My GF has the same problem with red squirrels. We just shoot 'em when we see them outside!

Maybe get a terrier... Haha I have no idea.

Leave them be and they will grow up and leave the nest. Once that happens, find how they got in and cover the hole before the parents hatch out more babies.

Are you positive they are pigeons? Starlings are a terror when it comes to getting into tight spaces and reproducing like crazy

If it sounds like a typewriter... more likely then not , it is a woodpecker. Find the entry hole and nail it shut. Woodpeckers will do a lot of dammage to a building and the roof.
