Hey Rob,help please!!!

I'm trying to change my avator, I've got it down to 100 by 75 pixels but it's 22Kb, is there a way to make the KB smaller without messing with the pic quality? Here's the link to the pic.

I'm not too computer savvy,any help would be great!!!

All set!

I simply took the image and saved it as a gif instead of jpg. This dropped the size from 22kb to only 7kb.

I use irfanview for quick image editing. It is free, small, and very fast.

You could also try the following site to resize images and pick a higher compression / smaller filesize:

I did download that irfanview awhile back,it's easy as pie. How do you change from a jpg to a gif? Just wondering.

Miriam, in Irfanview when you click "save" you'll see an option that says "Save as type:" You can select "gif" as a type.
