Hey Y'all from Southern Maryland

I'm from Southern MD and looking to see when is in my neck of the woods...I'm from St. Mary's County.

I just got 1 Silkie and have been hoping for it to be a hen...I can't keep a roo.

Hi, Karla....I noticed you put your message on the tail end of an older thread - as such it might not get a lot of views or responses. You can post in the MD thread in this link if you wish: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread
But go back to the top of this page and select the tab Start a New Thread. When the box pops up type in an intro and hit submit. That way we can give you a proper BYC welcome!! Great to have you here!!!

Hi Karla!! I'm in Calvert ! We had two beautiful silkies. One we "thought" was a pullet and the other a Roo. Unfortunately we had to get rid of them

, while they were BEAUTIFUL, they were aggressive . One towards the hens I have and the other kept biting , and yes I mean biting not pecking my 10 year old. Sad to see them go but they went to a nice farm in upper Marlboro . Good luck with yours!!! And I sure hope it's a hen
