Hi everyone! I'm Staci. I've been a member for over a year. Just decided since I had access to an actual computer that I would introduce myself. I live in Shelby, Indiana US, 29, married with 2 sons. I'm also an elementary school teacher. Last year I became a crazy obsessed chicken lady. We currently have 5 White Wyandottes, 3 Buff Rocks, a Male Rouen and a Rhode Island Red rooster. They are all over a year old. We just recently added in 3 Amberlinks, 2 Production Reds, 2 Aracaunas, 1 Black Australorp and 2 Barred Rocks. They range in age from 12 weeks to a month old. We also have 2 Pekins, one is a male and the other female.

I'm seriously in love with our little flocks. I've named them all and treat them as if they are my children. They've brought me so much joy. I enjoy being a part of Backyard Chickens. You all have helped when I've been in need and I appreciate that greatly. I'm sure you'll see more posts from me in the future.

Welcome aboard! And not to be nosy, but...what grade do you teach? I've written a book for 4th-8th graders. May just have to send you a copy for your classroom.
