Hey there,

I'm from southern New York State and am new to owning and raising chickens. We got our first 2 eggs today - our 2 leghorns are about 16 weeks old. The others are 14 weeks, we have 8 total.

They are:

New Hampshire Red rooster - "Dutch"
Rhode Island Red - "Fiona"
Barred Rock - "Pudding"
Barred Rock - "Blackie"
Leghorn - "Ester"
Leghorn - "Ellie"
Red Star - "Marshmallow"
Red Star - "Cream Puff"

All together my wife and I have 3 kids, 4 dogs, 8 chickens, and a hamster..."Stanley" the chameleon died a bit ago.

Love all the great info here...glad to be a part!
