Hey you polish lovers - what kind of Polish?

I posted this on another thread, but I really want to know, so....

What kind of polish is this chick? (mottled, splash, what?) I got him/her from a friend and I love the way he? looks.

Also, would you say hen or roo?

Edit - he is about 5 weeks or so, I think.

I love that chick. I have some that came as a variety. They are white crested and light blue body.

Looks like a hatchery type Silver spangled appenzeller Spitzhauben to me.

This is my spitz at around 2 or 3 weeks. I can't remember.

And if you look at the very back chicken that is a marbled Polish hen.

I would say silver polish. I've had both silver polish and spitzhabens, and looking back at pics the spoizhaubens crest was not so big. I didn't have any 5 week pics or I would've posted some. I have about 2 weeks and then about 8 weeks. The coloring was very similar on the 2. If you know for sure it is a polish then I definitely say silver polish.

Thanks for you input so far, guys! I love guessing. I haven't taken any new pics, but it looks like it's a polish and the poof is becoming more rounded, like a hens would be. From the grown pics of polish I've seen I would say the roos have a more floppy 'hat' vs the more rounded for the hens. I'm hoping it's a hen, but he/she's so purty I'm keeping it nomatter what. What a baby - loving personality too, what a doll!
