Hfff. After quite a long time avoiding it, I finally got covid!

I think pedialyte saved me, I couldn't bring myself to eat or drink and my husband had to sit with me and make me finish a glass. I had it when it first hit the US and my state and the health department made it clear that I wasn't welcome at the hospital. I tested positive for Influenza B at the same time, which I had never had before. Vicks salve helped my breathing a lot but it felt more like my diaphragm was paralyzed than my lungs being gunked up. I think mucinex helped keep them clear. People bought out pulse oximeters and when family was finally able to get an oxygen measuring device to me nearly a month after falling ill I felt like I had turned a corner and my oxygen was at 88%. My lungs, liver, kidneys and eyes were damaged but I made it!!!
I'm hearing that the newer strains for the virus aren't causing that much damage and I hope it's true. Please take good care of yourself and utilize electrolytes, expectorants and get lots of rest!! The cold/flu medicines that make you sleepy are the best because sleep is what will help you kick this.
