Anyone know how to shut off the humidity alarm on a HHD 32 incubator. Macine worked awesome but when I started a new batch the humidity keeps going down to 25 and alarm goes off. I filled wells and added several sponges so I know humidity is high not low. Tried resetting to 1 but still goes off at 25. Any help much appreciated, Ted.

I’m commenting to follow along with any replies. I’m preparing for my first hatch ever and my husband bought me the HHD 48 and it’s giving me a heck of a time. The humidity is the worst part. I can’t keep it steady. I’ve been trialing it all day and playing around. If I can’t keep it consistent without needing to add water frequently then back it’s going to go. Good luck!

You will need to tape the seam of the box top closed with painters tape or something similar (all the way around). It isn’t a tight seal and lets all humidity out. I also cover mine with a thick beach towel. If need be- also tape the rear and bottom vent. Best of luck!

You can eset humidity alarm down to 1 to avoid alarm. Hold the set button, then + or - for the humidity setting. Hit set again. Then adjust humid down to 1.

I'm following along. I have never used one of these incubators. My first hatches were with an LG (Little Giant) I have come to the conclusion if you can hatch in one of those you can hatch in most anything. Curious as to what others think. Good luck and have fun...

I used this machine last year and had an 8/9 hatch 🤷🏽‍♀️

We attempted to have our broody hatch 16 but she was just too little and eggs kept getting pushed aside and we’re getting too cool.

Out of 16: 2 were infertile, 4 eggs didn’t develop past day 7 (under our hen), one stopped developing on day 13 (under our hen). We then decided to move them all into the bator on day 15 and all made it to hatch day... one pipped into the air cell and didn’t make it out. I decided not to assist.

I didn’t rely on the digital display temp and instead used a $8 thermometer w humidity display from amazon.

I’ve found the humidity display on my machine is pretty spot on. The temperature varies sometimes upwards of a degree. If you calibrate it it seems to be more accurate. I’m about to set another group this week! Although these are shipped egg and silkies 😳. I’ll let you know how it goes!

Thank you for that input. I actually chickened out, pun intended, and decided to send it back and purchase a Hova-Bator instead. The Hova-Bator is slightly less advanced with features than this (bought the genesis 1588) but it is so much more reliable and basically spot on. I feel much more confident trying to hatch eggs in it that I’m going to spend decent money for.
I’m glad to read you have had good success with it and I hope that continues for you!

Ok not quite sure what your circuit board looks like inside but I just opened my matching and there is a timey speaker and another plus for the screen. My temp and humidity plugs were separate. It should be very easy to fing when u open your bator up. I had to take pliers and squish the dam speaker. And pull it off and pulled the plus of the gage also. Very easy on my second hatch the dam humidity gage stopped working I think I got water in it when washing it out for new hatch. Good luck hope u get it cause it drove me nuts.

i figured out how to turn the alarm off forever.

if you can remove the control panel from the plastic housing. use super glue to fill in the hole of the little rubble job or needle nose plyerz to remove

lol i almost started a fire to figure this out
