We haven't seen shearwaters while fishing the Bay for the past few years. This was the first time. Gulls, petrels and terns never dive for our lures, but these crazy things did. They are gorgeous though. Funny noses.

Thanks for the invite. The funny nose is found on all of the birds called "tubenoses". They have a gland for extracting salt.
