Hello! I am not new to chickens but I am new here. My husband and I have a mixture of chickens running around for eggs and meat. They are the staple of our self-sufficent lifestyle. We also have horses, dogs, cat, burrow, etc. I hope to meet everyone and learn more!

I am near Aberdeen.

Favorite breed... hard one... I think my all time would have to be Phoenix. Or maybe dUccle's, Mille fleur is by far my favorite color. Ironically I have neither of those breeds now. I used to raise both, along with other semi-rare breeds but haven't in a few years and only now getting back into the whole routine. I'm having a very hard time finding Phoenix in the area and it seems the price for both breeds have skyrocketed since I had them last!
