Got my ducks from Mtzer Farms last summer. I've had some great success and fun. I built them a house when they were ducklings. They stayed safe in the pen/house til I moved them to a lake house in the fall. I built a floating platform and put the house on top, floating about 20' pod of the bank. They didn't care for the house at that point but enjoyed the freedom of the lake. So I kept a feeder in the house with their favorite food and eventually they started visiting the house a few times per day.
They still don't "sleep" in the house, but they do lay eggs in it! How cool is that!
