Hi all im a new one here , ive just started breeding quail (why))i dont no ,ready for my first hatch sunday, carnt wait, ive now made a big mistake and orderd pheasent eggs red golden, no idea, any answers would be helpfull thanks dave ive just turned 40 must be a mid life crisis,.

Sounds like you are thoroughly addicted to poultry! And quail are very addictive. Especially Coturnix quail. They hatch in 17-18 days, they are laying at 9 weeks and the cycle of hatching continues!

great to have you joining the BYC flock

BYC has a very useful learning center

No mid-life crises but got bib by the poultry bug nothing can be dune about it just sit back and enjoy it as it is a nice ride just don't try to fight it and relax and build plenty of coops and fly pins for all to enjoy .....

I went to buy me a pair of Khaki Campbell ducks back in 1996 and
by 1997 I bought a Professional Brooder and Incubator and it has been
feathers ever sense
