My wife and I moved to southern Missouri in March when she was promoted and took over as GM of a local Hotel here. We have been talking about getting a few hens for a while and since the job market for my line of work in this area is weak, I decided to get after it.
I started building a coop and run on Tuesday. Nothing fancy, a small 4 x 4 and a 4 x 12 run. I should finish up by Saturday and we plan to buy 4 or 5 laying hens to hit the ground running.
I have been lurking here for the last month and figure since I garnered so much info I should go ahead and register and say "HI!!"
