And by the way - I haven't seen this elusive "Forum Signature" on my profile page. I have My Chickens, My Photos and that's about it. :/ Get on that Rob!

Well, my wife and I were married about 4 years before getting chickens, I knew you while I was dating my wife, I took on BYC in 2007, and you joined the site yesterday... wait, what was the question?

Regarding permissions: The forum software still isn't convinced your not a dirty spammer... so go post some more in threads, interact with our community, start a member page or a chicken page, etc. and your credibility will be clear in no time!

Didn't even notice your location. I'm in Santa Rosa. There are great threads for meeting local CA folks.

California - Northern is very active and has wonderful people, although the area it covers is quite large, so local might mean Redding or Placerville or ??? It's a big state!

And thanks for the welcome everyone! Looking forward to learning all about how to take care of these cute little ones! I read a lot before hand and I seem to have forgotten it all, b/c suddenly I'm thinking, "Wait -what do I do about that? What about that? I don't remember reading about THAT!"

So far we're doing good though! The feed store we got them from was very helpful at getting our set up and giving us tips. Next we have to figure out how to convert our old shed into a chicken coup without doing any permanent changes since we're renting.
