I started keeping chickens last April. I stopped on to Tractor Supply where my good friend works for some feed. And by the time I left she had packaged up 8 hens (1turned out to be a rooster) marked them down to a dollar and threw some chicken supplies on my cart. I was NOT ready
but I was excited! So I made it work, i gave them food, water, and warmth and they all grew
oh no then I had to build them a house. Thank goodness for the deck someone took apart, I drove right over and picked up the free wood. Viola, chicken house done. And then it happened... I incubated my first round of eggs ☺ now I'm addicted. I just ordered cream leg bar eggs, so needless to say this is happening. I'm a chicken breeder in training.
