I guess that joke has already been done. Whatever. LOL.

I'm new to the whole chicken breeding scene. TBPH, I don't know squat about breeding them. I would like to know if chickens can be bred indoors for the purpose of providing meat to my family (of four), plus our three dogs. I want to breed chickens for both their meat & egg production.

So after this post, I'll be doing lots of research on the matter, but if anybody wants to say Hi or berate me because I'm ignorant in this subject, by all means. Or Hi. Either way.

Welcome to Backyard Chickens.. There are many dual breeds.. Leghorns or Plymouth barred rock are 2 you might look into to.

Welcome to BYC! I'm not sure you can buy an indoor coop, you might have to make something. How much room do you have?

Keeping chickens indoors would be a nightmare for the you AND the chickens. Why are you interested in that? Are chickens permitted where you are?
