I`m not new here, but I haven`t been in this forum for a long time, and I`m glad that I`m back here again. I`d like to find a lot of information on the chicks and quails, and just improve my English.
I`m from Uzbekistan, Tashkent. Is there anybody who is interested in my country?

The search box at the top of this page in the blue bar will get you to a lot of information. The difficult part is finding the right search word.

South of Russia north of Afghanistan? Were you at one time in occupied Russia?

Your English is good.
There is a Russian on one of the threads I am on. It is fun and interesting to interact with different countries and cultures. We would be a friendlier world if more people took the time to meet their neighbors.

I am so impressed how most of Europe speaks English so well. Is Uzbekistan considered European?
I suppose there are so many languages in Europe , English is one that is more universal-
although, the universe probably does not speak English.

I`m not Russian, I`m Uzbek. My country is on the South of Kazakstan and North of Afghanistan. I`m 46 years old, so I lived in Soviet period (if you meant it).
Uzbekistan is in Central Asia, even though it`s far from Europe and we have a lot of same things as in Europe but we are still Asians. :)

Thank you for explaining that to me.

I remember from school that Russia absorbed a lot of countries; I thought Uzbekistan was at one time under Russian --- control? I do not know what word to use there. Then in the 80's-90's Uzbekistan reclaimed their independence? I remember it was exciting to see countries returning to their own government.

Tell me about your chickens. What type do you have? any particular breed or a mix?
What is your climate?
I have looked up your city on wikipedia, and you live in the largest one in Uzbekistan?
How do your neighbors feel about you raising chickens and quail?

I am in Florida, North America. We have mild winters and humid hot summers.
I have Buff Orpington Chickens. They are four years old now and not laying all that well.
We are rural, so the neighbors do not mind.

My chickens are a mix. I have no experience to keep birds or any animals. 3 years ago I built a heating system, and put the boiler in the basement, so it was hot there. Not to waste that I decided to keep birds there. I began with parrots, quails and now I have chickens too. Unfortunately I have no quails now, but I`m going to buy some in near future, because I stopped keeping them in spring with the problem of money. Now there is no problem. I have 3 hens a cock, and each day I have 1 or 2 eggs. Now I`m trying to use the incubator, I`ve just begun, maybe in near future I`ll multiply my chickens.
I live in the capital of the country. The place where I live is not so large, so I can`t effort to keep more birds, even though there`s no problem with the neaighbours, my neighbours are excellent.
