Hi everyone, a new and very excited member here

Hello from Perth,

I've been floating around the forums for a few months now and finally became a member! I got my first five chickens in October last year and two rescues a few days ago. I have a RIR, a New Hampshire Red, an Ancona, a Light Sussex and a 3/4 Leghorn. Sadly no Australorps :( . Other than chooks I have two of the world fastest couch potatoes ( Rescued greyhounds called Jack and Prini). We might be getting two cockatiels one day and I guess you can call me Alex.

WELCOME TO BYC.

We & our flock are up in sunny Queensland but there are plenty of Aussies on here. It's a great site. Enjoy.

Hi Alex, welcome to BYC! :hugs I’m also in NSW and a big Dr Who fan from way back. In fact, we’re looking to get Favorelle pullets this year and I asked my son what we should name them. He replied “One of them should be called Tegan”. I thought if we are going to have a Tegan then we have to have a Nyssa! And then if we get a third one, what will her name be? Sarah-Jane? Leela? I know, River! 😁

There is lots of help and support on this site, it’s a great community.

Hi Alex :welcome
What a lovely mix of chooks. I love Perth, one of my besties lives there.
If you're interested in reading other people's chicken stories, I started a thread called MJ's little flock. Come check it out and join in if you want.
All the best with your chooks!
