Hi! My name is Deb. I live in Salmon Arm, BC and have been dreaming of homesteading since I was little. I don't know if I'll ever realize that dream in it's entirety but hey, every little bit counts lol! So....a total chicken virgin here and am looking forward to learning from all of you gurus ! I will be getting around 5 chicks next month and have an outbuilding that I think would work well for a coop. Was looking through the galleries and saw a few picks with a similar set-up ( playpen with light and cheeky chicken in wheelbarrow? ). LOVE IT!!
Also haven't made up my mind about breed... Want a good reliable layer and good for meat also. And a reading I go! e
