Hello Gary & Sophie, and welcome to BYC! :frowGlad you joined.

If your breeder friend vent sexed them I would plan on having at least one cockerel. Vent sexing is a skill that take a long time to develop.
The brooder is pretty small for 4 chicks. Are your coop and run built and ready for them? If so, I'd move them out to it when they are about 2 weeks old and start flying around in there.

Hi Everyone in Chicken land! :celebrate

We are the proud parents to 4 of the cutest little Pullets!!! Or at least we hope they are pullets. HA! Our breeder is a good friend, so if any of them are cockerels he promised to swap them out.

I just wanted to say hello to the group. Our little ladies hatched on Saturday... so they are only 3 days old. And they are adorable!!! loving life. my kids love them. Our dog loves them. and my wife is a natural.

We have no issues or questions today... but i am certain i will have plenty of questions soon. We have been researching and doing as much homework as possibly these past few months. And... happy to report: so far the little ladies are doing GREAT!

Warm Regards, Gary & Sophie:celebrate:celebrate
