Hi everyone, I have recently received a single peachick from one of our friends. Everything was going swell until recently my little pea has become fairly lethargic, am and becoming a little concerned as it is a week old now and is not trying to fly, and doesn't have very good balance. Any explanations for this behaviors?

Is the chick eating feed that is medicated with amprolium? When a baby starts acting lethargic, wings drooping, etc..... I always treat for coccidia , they can have coccidia problems even with the medicated feed, but it isn't as likely. I would get some corid(amprolium) ASAP, tractor supply carries it, and you can put it in the water. 1 week is young to have problems from worms, but it could be cocci. Mine wil fly out of the brooder box at 5 days old.
