In the deep South!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
No. We have had chickens for a little over a year.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

36 chickens and 25 eggs in the incubator!

(3) What breeds do you have?

Easter Eggers, a Leghorn, Rhode Island Reds, Light Brahmas, Delawares, Buff Orpingtons, Welsummers, Plymouth Rocks, and a few mystery chicks, that are soon to be found out.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?

My sister had found this site and told me about it, while researching things about chickens and was very pleased with it!

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

Writing a blog (Boots And Chicken Poop), messing with animals, doing research on different breeds and species, like: chickens, ducks, and quails. I also love spending time with family and talking to my boyfriend. I enjoy writing, writing songs, singing, and playing guitar. There are many other hobbies I enjoy too.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

We are a family of six, fixing to be seven. We have the 36 chickens and 3 ducks, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 rabbits for breeding, and 1 Fancy Goldfish. Our occupation is blog writing, homesteading, and filming for our YouTube Channel. We are headed in the direction of growing into more of a homestead!

:welcome:celebrate

Glad you're here !

A must have for your poultry is a FIRST AID KIT for any issues that would arise. (https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/suggestions-for-a-first-aid-kit.1150128/)
It's definitely better to have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it.

Also, make sure your coop(s) have a proper amount of VENTILATION. (https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...-there-and-cut-more-holes-in-your-coop.47774/) Your chickens will absolutely thank you for it!

One last thing, if you're into gardening, feel free to join this years SEED SWAP (https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/seed-swap.1220129/)
