Hi Everyone

Hello there, sorry to hear you're having trouble with your hen. The thread you posted on is old so you may not get many replies. Please start your own thread with details including your location, what you're feeding, age, breed and her symptoms. It would also be very helpful to include pictures: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forums/emergencies-diseases-injuries-and-cures.10/

It's summer there, so if your birds haven't been laying for a while, are they older? Could they be close to the end of their laying years? Besides being eggbound, many production breed hens do succumb to other reproductive issues like egg peritonitis.
If she has crusty stuff on her bum, a warm epsom salt soak in a plastic tote for about 15-20 min will help her relax and also loosen up all that poo so you can rinse her feathers clean. Towel her off and use a blow dryer. I did this a couple times with one of my hens and she actually enjoyed it. A dirty bottom can cause other problems that you don't want to happen...

I'm sure someone more experienced can help you better. I hope your hen gets better! :fl
