(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We have had chickens for a while now and learn new things as we go, with the help of BYC, first time joining.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 25 Buff orpington chickens, over a dozen guinea hens, 10 red bourbon turkeys,
6 toulouse geese, 16 Pekin Ducks, and a dozen Courtinex quail.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Favorite aspect of raising backyard chickens is the kids get to run around and learn about taking care of all the animals and the joy to go out and collect and eat the eggs from your babies.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
We like gardening and building new things for the animals.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We are a family of 5. 3 kids who enjoy the poultry life. We have a dog and 2 cats also, a fat spoiled iguana and a bunny.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Anytime we had chicken related questions we would look it up and BYC always showed up and we found our answers through this thread We joined to help us get more information and to sell our babies we hatch with my husband awesome homemade incubator.
