Yes I am new. I got six chicks 12 days ago after spending a couple months reading about having backyard chickens.

2 Lavender Orpington (2 weeks old), 2 Blue Plymouth Rock (two weeks old),1 Buff Orpington , and one Rhode Island Red that might be a roo
(both 4 weeks old).
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Well, so far they are very entertaining!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
My other hobbies are sewing, reading, and cooking. I use to garden a lot but haven't for several years.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Have a hubby and 6 indoor cats. AND 3 grandbabies.
