Hi everyone! My name is Lauren, and we got a flock of 4 chickens in April. My boyfriend and I are new chicken owners and have learned so much in these short 3 months! I am thankful there is a website like this to learn and get help from. I'm excited to be here!

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes, we are new to chickens, and we got them on April 12th, 2024!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
4 girls!
(3) What breeds do you have?
1 Golden Sex Link, 1 Buff Orpington, and 2 Leghorns!
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Being able to raise them, love them, and utilize them for fresh eggs!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
We like to fish, hike, swim, and do lots of outdoor activities.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
It is my boyfriend and I, and our 2 Heelers. We both work full time and live north of DFW. We love spending time with our animals, family, and friends!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found this website on google and I am so happy I did!!!
