Hi everyone looking forward to picking the brains of some of ye so i will start with my first question


i have bred a purebred black leghorn rooster with a purebred white leghorn hen resulting in two white leghorn pullets with few black speckles not to noticeable. my question is if i breed these pullets with a mottled leghorn rooster what colour offspring will i get ????

Welcome I'm not sure about the answer to your question, but I know white leghorns are generally dominant white, so I'd imagine you'd get a lot of white offspring from that pairing, but you should ask the wizards in breeds/genetics

I once crossed a black roo to some white hens and the results were everything from black to white to black and white! I'm not sure about leghorns though. Better to ask the genetics gurus.
