I have 3 chickens. Right now my girls are broody so my roo is lonely. One hen is on 12 of the other hens eggs. Shes being a great momma. We have seven days to go before the first hatch.

Thanks. I have a question, is it best to let the eggs hatch with the hen or can I put them in the incubator? Im probably just over excited. I'm not gonna be able to keep the chicks I will just give them away since I have no idea what breed the hen is.

Hello and Welcome To BYC! Good luck with the hatch! If you want to try and figure out what your chickens are, you can post pictures in the What Breed/Gender forum for ideas www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this (Rex doesn't look like a RIR.)
With hatching the chicks ... You can do either, which is best depends on if the hen is a good mother and/or how good your incubator is. If the hen is being a good mother you might as well let her be, especially if you want her to raise the chicks for you for awhile.

Welcome to BYC. 'Rex' is a beauty, but he is not a RIR - they are all red with some black in the tail feathers, and most strains are single combed.
