I’m super new to chickens. I got my first chicks on May 6th and 8th. I currently have 7 chicks. I’m expecting 2 more the week of June 9th. The idea of the self reliance and providing a good life and having the companionship really attracts me to being a chicken keeper. Additionally, I come from a long line of chicken keepers. This is a way for me to connect with my ancestors and heritage. I love anime and reading romance in several formats. I’m a dedicated wife and mom of 2 boys. I enjoy supporting them and watching them grow all while trying to not forget who I am. I also have a dog named Okoye. She’s the sweetest girl.

A coworker introduced me to this site. I’ve lurked for a bit. Even though I’m a bit overwhelmed by the format I decided to join. I see the benefits. I’m here to learn and hopefully be a help to others eventually.
