Hi friends!

View attachment 4035879Awe thank you for your interest! My journey really began when I took in Ursula - an emu chick with a compound fracture of her leg. Since her, I’ve also taken in and rehabbed mostly ducks, turkeys, chickens and ducks with leg injuries primarily. I’m fortunate enough to have relationships with some local vets that help advise me - but there have been some obscure issues I’ve come across that a community like this I really feel may have the experience to collectively be able to offer better guidance sometimes! Like right now - I have a special needs Muscovy with a non functional leg that does not have an oil gland! I’m going to post a separate thread for that one! But again thank you for being so welcoming and your interest! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
This photo is SO adorable!! :love

Hiya, and welcome to BYC! :frow I love that picture of Ursula! Adorable!

I sometimes think I'm running a handicapped chicken sanctuary as within a couple of months, I adopted a blind pullet, wound up with my first crossbeak, and have a 4-month-old problem child chicken in the house that has internal issues from his egg falling a couple of feet prior to hatching. It's all fun, though! Bless you for what you do! ❤️
