Hi From a First Time Chicken Owner

We've been vaguely thinking of getting chickens for a few years now, and lurking around the BYC site, reading magazines, etc..., and this weekend, on a whim, we took the plunge. We got four hens from a guy at the flea market, brought them home in a carrier he lent us, and then built them a "chicken tractor".

Unfortunately, the reason I got motivated to actually sign up for a user ID here is that we're worried about two of our new hens and I wanted to post in the emergency/illness section here, but hopefully we're just being worriers and they're fine, and we'll be telling lots of BYC stories around the forum.

Welcome! I never thought I'd be doing this but here I am.I'm a newbie too with 6 pullets. This forum is wonderful! BYC is so helpful. And be warned, taking me away from Facebook.LOL
