My Name is Ken; I’m located in central Alberta, Canada. Last year I purchase a small incubator and got some eggs from a neighbor, some purebreds and some barn yard mutts. We managed to hatch out about 20 chicks and let them run loose in our farm yard. We love to watch there antics and the interaction with the other animals. Our main farm interest is raising yaks, but we also have a pair of wild turkeys, 2 dogs, some horses and lots of cats. I am now just getting eggs ready for this year’s flock addition. I like all the information available here; BYC is responsible for all I know about chickens…Thanks so much.

Welcome to BYC!

So glad we have been able to help you! You have a nice assortment of livestock at your farm. Of course the chickens MUST be the main attraction!

Enjoy all your adventures in life and welcome to our flock!

Kelsie really ferrets out the links. I had no idea about a yak thread. I'm not even sure what a yak is, maybe a water buffalo ??? Oh well - carry on.
