Greetings from Amanzimtoti in sunny South Africa
Thank you for an awesome site. Found you on the net whilst trying to figure out why our 'hen' was crowing! We originally purchased what we were told were 6 Rhode Island Red two month old pullets, three of which turned out to be roos!! Thankfully we have very understanding neighbors who were very patient while we secured a new home for our boys on a farm on the North Coast of KZN.
Definitely a learning experience, and one I don't want to repeat, especially not with a nine year old who was devastated at having to say goodbye to Mayo, Chili and Sassy. Now we wait for our 5 new CERTIFIED ladies (Hi-Line Browns) to come of age so we can collect them from Maggie Scratchings Farms
I've learned so much from your site and can't thank you enough for all the valuable information. I look forward to reading through all your experiences and advice and can't wait to start sharing our stories with you all.
Best regards,
MamaBird
