Hi to all you chook and duck people. I am looking forward to chatting and learning more about how to care for my backyard poultry who all have names and are an extension of our family. Our most recent additions are our four ducks. two silver appleyards named George and Mildred and a pair of Rouens called Fred and Ginger. They are almost six months old and we are hoping for eggs any day now. I sit with a cuppa most days watching their antics and my next door neighbour talks to them over the fence and throws over leftover greens so they love her to bits in fact she cant hang her washing on the line without being greeted by very loud quacks. We also have ten chooks, one more than the local council laws allow but whose counting. I would not only appreciate feedback re my feathery friends but also on how to negotiate my way around this site.
