This is not my first time on BYC, but I just finally decided to become a member. We have 3 big girl buff orpingtons, and 6 mixed chicks (3 RIR, 3 barred rocks - sexes yet to be determined). We love having chickens around, and are slowly working toward a self-sufficient homestead!

When you chicks are 6-8 wks. old you can post photos at "what breed or gender is this." Folks there are very good at what they do.
